News Flash!!

 

After the great snowfall in January the extended forecast for the first part of February is daytime highs in the mid 50/60’s.  That will mean golf balls will be flying, golfers singing, wife’s are happy and David smiling.  Now understand this forecast is being brought to you not by a trained Meteorologist nor a weather prognosticator but a veteran skilled, highly efficient, computer illiterate Starter/Marshall. Therefore, I take no responsibility for the weather or any reference to the weather.  Have a great February and tune-in for March’s forecast, as it’s going to be something else.

Golf Shop

We are looking forward to a great 2024 Golf Season, with many new ideas for our Golf Shop and products for our members!  Our Golf Professional Barry Bishop, PGA, has just returned from the Annual PGA Golf Show in Orlando, Fl, seeing all the new gadgets, gizmos, clubs, electronics, etc. and finalizing our incoming inventory schedule for 2024.  Come by the shop and see the remaining items in our inventory reduction sale as we prepare for the new equipment to come in next month! This sale will consist of 30% off shirts/caps, 20% off gloves, and 10% clubs for in-stock items and run from Saturday, February, 17th to Thursday, February, 29th.

From the Course Superintendent

We are all set on the course for an amazing Spring. We will be spraying all of our pre-emergent starting the week of February 5th on fairways and tee boxes. We purchased our own deep drill this year which allows us to target our time better and not interfere with play when weather is awesome like the 10 day forecast is currently. We are going to enjoy the conditions of the greens now while everyone has cabin fever and the sun is shining. We will leave the date open as to when drilling and aerification will begin. I truly hope you come out and enjoy the course as much as possible.

Golfing with God

There is a large group of golfers that would enjoy a gathering of God loving people to have a fun filled round of golf and meet new brothers and sisters in the Lord.  I am suggesting, starting mid March, that we get together on Wednesday morning at 8:30 or Saturday at noon (or both) for a short prayer and have a social, Spirit filled, round of “Golfing with Godly like minded believers.”
